Enjoying our daughters here and thinking about our daughter(s) who ALL of us are dying to meet …We all decided we needed to come up with a new Christmas tradition that honors our daughter(s) culture, birth place and our precious little daughter(s) identity.
December 23, 2010 we decided to start our night out at HABESHA Ethiopian Restaurant in Seattle! The atmosphere was AWESOME, the food was delicious and we felt a little closer to our daughter/sister(s) just by the experience of it all!! ♥
After dinner we drove 5 minutes to the Moore Theater to see an AWESOME show called the Black Nativity! It got our ♥ HEARTS ♥ Pumping, our SOULS Moving and by the end we were all clapping, dancing and PRAISING our AMAZING God and CELEBRATING the birth of CHRIST Jesus our LORD!
At 5:00 on Christmas Eve we went to the Overlake Christian Church Candle Light Service... we had never been to a candle light service before and it was beautiful! We also LOVED watching the little children up on stage singing... it always stirs up so much emotion in me... to see their enthusiasm, their innocence - LOVING and WORSHIPING Jesus! It Just melts my heart... ♥
Mark 10: 13-15
People were bringing little CHILDREN to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the KINGDOM OF GOD belongs to SUCH AS THESE. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little CHILD
will NEVER enter it,
Christmas Morning Erik made a YUMMY egg casserole and I made some cinnamon rolls and we enjoyed seeing the GIRLS faces light up from some AMAZING gifts from their grandparents, their Auntie and Uncle and us... There were EVEN gifts under the tree for our little girl(s)! ♥
Leaving the house in a bit of a mess... we zzzzzzzipped up to the pass at Snoqualmie to go TUBING!
I think 2011 is going to be AMAZING!
The GREATEST Christmas Gift of all
Was never placed beneath a TREE,
But lay within a manger
Beneath a star, for all to see.
Isaiah 9:6
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And HE will be called:
WONDERFUL
COUNSELOR
MIGHTY GOD
EVERLASTING FATHER
PRINCE of PEACE
1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy GREAT is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in the FLESH. justified in the SPIRIT, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, BELIEVED on in the world, received up into GLORY!
